Congress candidates for the Badrinath and Manglaur assembly bypolls in Uttarakhand were leading in both seats in the initial rounds of counting on Saturday, officials said.
What's shocking is that after the debacle of the Lok Sabha election where the BJP candidate lost the Faizabad constituency where Ayidhya is located, now the saffron party is also trailing in Badrinath.
Congress’ Lakhpat Singh Butola was leading against BJP’s Rajendra Bhandari in Badrinath. In Manglaur as well Congress’ Qazi Nizamuddin is ahead against BSP’s Ubaidur Rahman.
